Space has defined some of humanity’s greatest achievements, and it continues to shape our future today.

We’re motivated by the enormous impact we can have on Earth making it easier to get to space to do incredible things there.

The satellites we build and launch are enabling innovation and exploration, they’re keeping countries connected and borders protected, they’re monitoring weather and managing waste, they’re providing insights on climate change, and helping us manage resources for future generations.

With upcoming missions to the Moon, Mars and Venus, Rocket Lab is not only a place where you can launch your career but be a part of what was once thought to be impossible.

Recruitment Process

The first step is to submit an application with your CV. Here we are looking for a passion for space,  involvement in extracurricular activities, as well as an excellent academic record.

From here there is an initial phone interview, you will be asked about your background, interests and any projects that you have been involved in. Here we are trying to gauge organisational fit.

You may need to take an online assessment if you apply for a technical role which will assess your technical abilities. You will be provided with ample time to complete this.

The next stage is an onsite or online interview where a panel of 2-4 managers will ask behavioural based questions.

The last stage is where the recruitment team would contact your references.

Remuneration & Career Growth

You will get access to the some of the most brilliant minds in the space industry, work on projects that are quite literally out of this world and get exposure in a publicly listed company that has offices in Auckland, LA, Toronto to name a few locations.

Doubling in size last year and with a forecast to grow significantly again this year, Rocket Lab is the place to make your mark.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • The interesting projects and the fact I can send my designs to space!
  • The people I work with! Also the project that I am currently working on + perks including merch
  • Everyone I have met is very friendly and happy to help if you are confused or need help finding something. They answer questions respectfully and without any judgement.
  • Higher pressure, high expectations
  • There is a lot of specialised knowledge and jargon which is hard to understand at first and can make new people feel left out in conversations as they don't understand.
