Your role

Job Summary:

This position is onsite for a CoOp who will be entering their sophomore year (or higher) by the start of summer 2024.

Execution Operations (XOPS) needs a Program Operations Specialist CoOp from June 2024 to January 2025 at its Andover, MA facility supporting the Precision Metal Fabrication (PMF) and Cables Value Streams. This individual will act as a focal and lead supporting delivery and cost objectives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment working with cross-functional teams. This individual will also support a safe work environment and will lead and engage in safety improvement projects.

This role requires daily interaction with manufacturing operations, engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and the program management office. Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, and safety goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies are performance criteria for this position.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Execution of schedule and cost based on MRP and cost targets.
  • Workforce planning and forecasting.
  • Analysis and monitoring of resources to ensure timely and successful completion of tasks.
  • Transformation of the area and Factory 4.0 initiatives.
  • Optimization of machining centres and level load of product.
  • Standard work for volume machining centres and inspection of the product.

Training & development

During the internship, the interns will have the opportunity to develop skills in executing schedules and managing costs, conducting workforce planning and forecasting, and analyzing resources for task completion. You will also gain hands-on experience in implementing Factory 4.0 initiatives, optimizing machining centres, establishing standard work procedures, and facilitating continuous improvement through training and development initiatives.

Salary & benefits

The annual salary for this role can range from $37,000 - $82,000 per year.

About you

Basic Qualification:

  • Must be a sophomore by the start of summer 2024 and pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, or supply chain management
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)
  • Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
