Your role

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Safety Intern based in Indianapolis, IN.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Training & development

Through this internship, you will gain practical experience in applying standard techniques and procedures within their field, while developing professional work knowledge and abilities under the guidance of senior staff. You'll learn to meet required schedules while producing quality work, fostering essential skills for their future careers.

Salary & benefits

The hourly range for this position is $ 14.00 - $ 25.00/hour.

About you

Minimum requirements:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field with the intent to continue after the internship unless graduating.
  • Candidates must have completed 1 year of study in their program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Part of an SH&E-related program at school.
  • Experience working for a large general contractor.
  • Previous relevant internship experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is unavailable now or in the future for this position.
