Your role

About the internship:

Texas Instruments is seeking Manufacturing Technician Interns to join their team.

Equipment technician interns will be responsible for performing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will utilize diagnostic equipment and various vendor documents to isolate and repair malfunctions.

Process technician interns will be responsible for performing technical tests and experiments for engineering in the wafer fabrication area of semiconductor manufacturers. Once the product is on the line, the process technician monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators. Process technicians also test new products and provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.

This technician will be an invaluable part of the team, interfacing and communicating with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently.

About you

Minimum requirements:

  • Enrolled in a technical certificate or AAS program in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, Process Technology, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Texas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Self-driven with the ability to identify and resolve issues to improve equipment performance.
  • Good troubleshooting skills in electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Excellent organizational, teaming and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
