Your Role

As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.  An Associate’s role in providing tax services may include:

  • Participate in engagements, research tax laws, rules & regulations, analyze their application, and defend decisions and/or outline solutions to those issues.
  • Participate in a wide range of projects, and demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative.
  • Identify and address client needs and demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.
  • Invite and give in-the-moment feedback in a constructive manner.
  • Identify and make suggestions for improvements when problems and/or opportunities arise.
  • Follow risk management and compliance procedures.
  • Build and maintain an internal and external network.

Work-Life Balance

At PwC work model includes three ways of working - virtual, in-person, and flex. For professionals who select a virtual role, they'll primarily work virtually, unless they have to be in the office or at a client site for key events. Employees work both in-person and virtually and will spend one to three days per week on average at a PwC office or a client site and work virtually the remainder of the time. Flex is encouraged for interns and new associates to take full advantage of the new joiner experience. Some weeks individuals will work entirely from home, while others may be a full week at a client site.

About You

The selected individual(s) for the role should have and demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in customer-facing roles:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the field of Accounting with a preferred cumulative and major GPA of 3.0.
  • Have completed or are in the process of completing their final academic year of educational requirements.
  • Meet all educational requirements to be eligible for the primary credential license appropriate for the relevant practice area to satisfy the 150 credit hours requirement necessary for the CPA license.
  • Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in the technical aspects of tax compliance services.
  • Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success with automation & digitization in a professional services environment.
