NBC Story 

The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is an American English-language commercial broadcast television and radio network. Headquartered at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, the company is the flagship property of the NBC Entertainment division of NBCUniversal. It has offices in Los Angeles and Chicago. 

It was founded in 1926 by the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) and is the oldest major broadcast network in the United States. RCA was owned by General Electric (GE) at that time but in 1932 GE was forced to sell RCA and NBC due to some antitrust charges. However, GE got back the charge of NBC in 1986. 

The network broadcasts approximately 350 hours of programming a week via more than 200 affiliated stations throughout the United States. Moreover, it has a major International presence through entities such as CNBC Asia and NBC Super Channel (Europe). The company has won over 115 Peabody awards and many Emmy awards.
