Your Role

Microsoft currently has an opening for a Research Intern on AI and Machine Learning for Agriculture and other verticals. Microsoft is looking for an experienced and motivated student to conduct research on a topic including Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, AI on IoT data, and Genomics Pipelines. Daily activities and responsibilities include:

  • Interns put inquiry and theory into practice, alongside fellow doctoral candidates and some of the world’s best researchers, interns learn, collaborate, and network for life.
  • Interns not only advance their careers but also contribute to exciting research and development strides.
  • During the 12-week internship, students are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community.

    About You

    • Must be currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. Program in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
    • Publications in top-tier conferences.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop original research ideas.
    • Hands-on experience with AI/ML/Computer Vision/Systems.
    • Experience with Geospatial data, Supply Chain, Computational Chemistry, or Computational Genomics pipelines.
    • Experience with pre-trained models and coding experience.
