Your Role

  • The intern is responsible for observing the functions and processes of the assigned work unit.
  • In addition, the intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, assess the performance levels, and provide benefits to the work unit.
  • The intern will be responsible for completing all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility. 

Training, Development & Rotations

The Strategy Fellowship is a one-year learning experience designed to develop outstanding masters-prepared individuals committed to a career in healthcare, business consulting, strategy, or systems engineering. The Fellowship allows individuals to gain the practical experience necessary to meet the minimum requirements of a Health Systems Engineer, Analyst, or Strategist. This position offers the opportunity to interface directly with clients (Mayo Clinic departments/divisions or committees), from project kick-off to closure, with limited formal direction from supervisors/preceptors.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $21,800 to $31,800 per year. This position has a predetermined rate of $15.00 per hour. Mayo Clinic offers a variety of employee benefits.

About You

  • The incumbent must be enrolled in a degree program from a college or university. Typically, this internship would occur after the student has taken most of the courses required by the degree program.
