Your Role

  • Create innovative title-marketing campaigns for upcoming fiction (Literary, Horror, Speculative Fiction) and nonfiction titles (Tech, Science, Pop Culture, and memoir) for MCD titles.
  • Work closely with publicists on specific publicity outreach and coordination for author campaigns for MCD titles. 
  • Develop strategies, messaging, and creative assets and digital projects to increase brand awareness and growth for MCD’s online, newsletter, and social media communities.
  • Work across internal departments along with authors to drive campaign strategy and effectiveness.

Macmillan Talent and Development team is dedicated to delivering effective, efficient, and sustainable initiatives that address Macmillan’s talent needs and have the maximum impact in driving employee engagement, development, and performance. Its talent team hosts a wide variety of learning content including virtual and online sessions as well as a seasonal Mentorship Program. 

Salary & Benefits

This position will have an annual salary between $52,000 to $55,000. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

About You

  • Marketing and publicity background a plus.
  • Design knowledge is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm to learn key marketing and publicity concepts and tools including social media marketing, email marketing, influencer marketing, analytics, as well as traditional book marketing and publicity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strategic, creative, and organized thinking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Skill and aptitude in Adobe Creative Suite are a plus.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
