Your Role

  • Work cooperatively with people in all parts of the publishing process.
  • Maintain detailed records, databases, and schedules.
  • Prepare marketing, catalog, and publishing materials.
  • Be an essential part of a publishing program of approximately 110 titles per year.
  • Prepare and route manuscripts through the production process.
  • Prepare copy for tip sheets, catalog copy, and cover copy.
  • Draft and track contract requests.
  • Order books for authors, and partners.

Salary & Benefits

This role will have an annual salary of $47,500. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

About You

  • Internships in publishing and/or demonstrated interest in the profession.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and verbal abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a large and complicated body of work.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Word, Gmail, Excel, and PPT.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Proven capability as a self-starter and independent thinker.
  • Interest in working on a fast-paced, commercial, merchandise list.
  • Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
