Your Role

As the Corporate Tax Intern, you will assist tax department staff personnel to compile and analyze financial data obtained from a variety of sources. Job responsibilities include:

  • Provide analytical support for the professional tax staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of state apportionment income tax factors.
  • Prepare assigned Federal, State Income Tax Returns and Forms 5471.
  • Assist in the analysis of Earnings & Profits for JPMorgan Chase-controlled foreign corporations.
  • General office work like copies, file preparation, maintenance., etc.
  • Interface and communicate effectively with people within the Corporate Tax Department and other JPMorgan Chase departments bank-wide.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Salary & Benefits

J.P. Morgan offers a competitive total rewards package including a base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. For those in eligible roles, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions. The firm also offers a range of benefits and programs to meet employee needs, based on eligibility. These benefits include comprehensive health care coverage, on-site health and wellness centers, a retirement savings plan, backup childcare, tuition reimbursement, mental health support, financial coaching, and more. The base salary for this role is approximately $25 to $30.65. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.

About You

  • Seeking students who are currently enrolled, in good standing, at accredited universities in the U.S.
  • Availability to work 12-20 hours during the school year and full-time when on break.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Better than average personal computer skills using spreadsheet applications such as Excel and proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
