Your Role

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, sound engineering principles, and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements. This work would include mechanical engineering for all products focusing on military products.
  • Execute the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and rotating components of aircraft engines related to the NPI (New Product Introduction) process, engine certification, field/manufacturing support, component repair implementation, and other processes.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how the work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Training & Development

Leveraging GE’s rich training and development culture, the ‘Brilliant Learning’ curriculum is custom-designed and adapted to individual site needs. It will include seminars, workshops, online courses, and a series of immersion boot camps on lean manufacturing practices, advanced manufacturing, and additive and other digital technologies transforming the industry. Instead of solely classroom learning, many components of the training will be hands-on and held in the manufacturing sites.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated total pay for this role ranges from $92,000 to $134,000 per year. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
