The FleishmanHillard Story

FleishmanHillard Inc was first founded as Fleishman-Hillard in St Louis, Missouri all the way back in 1946 by Alfred Fleishman and Robert E Hillard. It slowly grew and became a major player in the American PR agency industry, before then being acquired by Omnicom Group in 1997 and joining their Diversified Agency Services division (DAS).

The burgeoning company first entered the Asia Pacific market in 1994 when it opened its first Asian office in Beijing, China. They then began to slowly set up new offices and expand their operations in Asia, with the Manila office opened for the first time in 1997.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process starts off pretty straightforward: you can apply for any open positions by submitting your documents through their online portal or directly mailing your application to the human resources manager.

They will then review your documents and if it is interesting enough, they will put you on the shortlist. Once on the shortlist you should expect a phone interview via Whatsapp from either the HR manager or the Southeast Asian regional manager.

Should you pass this stage of the recruitment process, you will be asked to do a writing sample exam that will test your literacy skills and personal characteristics. This test is free of charge. If you also pass this exam, you will receive an email inviting you to their Manila office for an interview. Ace this interview, and you will likely receive a job offer within a week.

Remuneration & Career Growth

There is nothing noteworthy about the pay at FleishmanHillard Manila as they are equivalent to industry standards. Some employees also reported working unpaid overtime despite the company pressuring workers to work overtime and improve productivity.

Annual bonus pay is also relatively minuscule and close to non - existence unless you are able to reach a high position on the corporate ladder. However, FleishmanHillard does provide better perks and benefits than its competitors. This includes a good health insurance program and a generous amount of paid vacation days.
