About Deloitte

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, commonly referred to as Deloitte, is an international professional services network headquartered in London, England. Deloitte is the largest professional services network by revenue and a number of professionals in the world and is considered one of the Big Four accounting firms. Their reputation as an industry-leading financial consulting company is clear. They have 175 years of experience in their field and continue to make an impact on the world through their advice to clients.

Your Role

  • As a Deloitte Tax intern, you’ll work with diverse and talented teams to help clients analyze the tax effect of complex decisions, reduce overall tax rates, and pursue performance objectives.
  • You will collaborate daily with the tax team to perform research and analysis, and utilize your consultative skills to turn findings into actionable solutions.
  • During your internship you’ll interact with multiple clients, providing you exposure to a variety of organizations and a stronger understanding of applicable tax implications for different clients.

Training, Development & Rotations

Deloitte offers a Lifetime Learning and Development Curriculum to their talent, based on a global world-leading competency framework. The curriculum is designed to grow Deloitte's talent and foster future leaders through exceptional smart talent development experience.  It includes a suite of competency-based learning and development programs, career milestone programs, high potential development programs, future leader's succession development programs, personal career consultation, coaching, and mentoring.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated total pay for an Intern at Deloitte is between $47,000 to $92,000 per year. Whether you are starting a family or pursuing a passion, Deloitte provides benefits to help address your unique career and life needs no matter where you are on your well-being journey. Here are some of the benefits and programs to support eligible professionals and their family’s well-being needs:

  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Emergency dependent care.
  • Retirement planning.

Career Progression

Deloitte offers a host of opportunities in business and technology to work across industries and geographies—in roles and on projects aligned with your skills, your interests, and your passions. You will have the opportunity to do work that is challenging, meaningful, and at the forefront of its industry. Just as important, you’ll meet people that can help you take your career to the next level. Thousands of career opportunities across the four businesses - Audit & Assurance, Consulting, Risk & Financial Advisory, and Tax.

Work-Life Balance

Working at Deloitte is more than a job. While a career at Deloitte will always be about working with smart people, taking on big challenges, and defining an unlimited future, it's also about enjoying your life. Deloitte people really value the idea of having a good life, both at work and in life.

Culture & Vibe

The culture at Deloitte is fairly flexible. Past workers have said that instead of strict 9-5 hours they are simply given tasks to do and go home when they are done. However, the slightly lax structure leads to working long hours in the office because people stop and chat throughout the day. This vibe also has positives and contributes to a more open, inclusive, and collaborative workspace. It negates the competitive nature of the corporate world.

About You

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Science/Business Administration, Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation
  • Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage assignments in a team environment.
  • Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs).
  • CPA exam eligibility is preferred.
  • Travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.).
