The name Coca-Cola was invented by Dr. Pemberton's partner, Frank M. Robinson. The Coca-Cola formula was sold to Asa Griggs Candler in 1891 for $2,300. The Coca-Cola trademark was patented in 1983. 

After the 2nd World War, the company expanded its packaging methods, increased its product types, and acquired new products. The company acquired the rights to use Fanta in 1946, introduced Sprite in 1961, and a sugar-free tab in 1963. 

In 2005, Coca-Cola Zero, a no-calorie drink with a unique Coca-Cola taste was introduced.
