The Capgemini Story

Capgemini was founded as a data processing and enterprise processing institution in 1967 by Serge Kampf but was named Sogeti at the time. As a visionary with a meticulous approach to work, Serge always believed everyone deserves a second chance and things could be done better.

In 1976 Sogeti acquired CAP and Gemini Computer Systems as IT firms to aid its passage into Europe.

From 1975-1989, the company focused on other fields ranging from capital investments to consulting services. Exposure to these markets improved its penetration into the American market and it became a stakeholder.

In 2010, another phase came into the Capgemini culture. These two aspects of this new culture are; "people matter results count".

This new brand identity has propelled them towards new heights in customer satisfaction and improving society with every service they provide.

Recruitment Process 

Capgemini carries its pattern of exceptional innovation into its recruitment process. There are five selection-targeted rounds in Capgemini's recruitment process with each one bound to test different qualities. 

The first round is the technical assessment round where the graduate or interns' level of understanding of coding gets tested. 

The next round is an MCQ-based English communication test. In this round, candidates' comprehension of different communication aspects is taken. 

The third round is bound to draw a few smiles. It is a Game-Based Aptitude Test where four participative games are provided for candidates to try their hands on. 

After completing a fun gaming session, candidates proceed to an adaptive employee personality test. This round aims to understand behaviours candidates may express during work processes. 

The final round is divided into the technical and HR interview. These interview sessions generally aim to test candidates' knowledge of their roles and their personalities as well.

Social Contributions

In 2018, Capgemini had to settle up to $1 million in settlement for employees. This lawsuit was based on health benefits. Two of its Indian employees also filed lawsuits against the company regarding a lack of notification on using their health benefits. 

Although Capgemini did not acknowledge wrongdoing, they still agreed to pay the settlement.
