Recruitment Process

Candidates must first be screened by International Working Holidays (www.iwh.co.nz) for the J1 Visa to be eligible to apply to work at Big Cedar Lodge. 

IWH will talk with you about the costs involved with the visa, insurance and flights. 

Financial assistance is available for up to NZ$6,500 to pay the upfront costs for you to get there and this is deducted interest free from your pay. 

Once you have passed the J1 Visa screening, and understand the information about the visa regulations and costs, they will organise an interview for you with Big Cedar Lodge either virtually or in person. 

Remuneration & Career Growth

The remuneration for graduate and early talent roles at Big Cedar Lodge may vary depending on the role and level of experience. Generally, employees can expect to receive a competitive salary that is commensurate with their experience, skills, and qualifications. The gross salary range for graduate and early talent roles may range from NZD 40,000 to NZD 60,000 or AUD 40,000 to AUD 70,000 per year.

Other Benefits: Live-in accommodation for US$85 per week including free transfers to and from work, free meals on shift, laundry, wifi, and fully furnished apartments.
In addition, employees at Big Cedar Lodge receive paid time off, training and development opportunities, and employee discounts on bass pro, spa, hotel, and dining services, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and exciting environment.
