Your Role

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
  • Tracks quality assurance progress.
  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
  • Field inspection and oversight of transportation construction projects including bridges, roads, traffic signals, signing, ITS, and underground facilities.
  • Monitor and record the work and progress of contractors, while tracking material quality and usage using FieldBook and ProjectWise.
  • Verify that traffic control measures are implemented, and maintained during construction.
  • Maintain communication between AECOM supervisors and peers, MDOT and local agency personnel, contractor personnel, and the general public.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated total pay for this role ranges from $47,000 to $68,000 per year. AECOM provides a wide array of benefits programs to meet the diverse needs of its employees and their families.

About You

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and practices.
  • Ability to document any and all relevant events, issues, and variances.
  • Good active written and verbal communication with construction personnel and engineers.
  • Ability to perform basic computations and calculations.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
