About the Team:

The role reports to the Research Team Manager in Memphis, Tennessee.

About the Internship:

As an Engineering Intern, you'll work closely with managers and engineers on various engineering tasks. You'll gain hands-on experience in a professional setting, contributing to projects and learning from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of a manager or engineer, perform less complex engineering assignments associated with various engineering activities.
  • Monitor progress, comply with quality and schedule requirements, and maintain detailed logs and records.
  • Use computer programs to perform various engineering operations, conduct analyses, and provide related data and information.
  • Compile and assimilate data from various sources, conduct relatively routine operations and tests, prepare reports, and develop graphics for presentations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine problems and assist in resolving more complex issues.

Training & development

The intern will gain proficiency in engineering tasks such as data analysis, report preparation, and troubleshooting. You will enhance your skills in utilizing engineering software and tools effectively.

About you

Your background:

  • Progressing toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering (ME or EE) with at least 2 years completed.
  • Completed a course in 3D modelling.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work 15 to 20 hrs./wk. during the school semester and up to 40 hrs./wk. while on break and in between semesters.
  • PTC ProE/Creo CAD experience.
  • Good communication skills, quick learner, self-motivated.
